In light of this, a meeting was scheduled on 21st November, 2023 between a team from REGSEC under the leadership of Mr. Michael Agyemang, Eastern Regional Planning Officer, DISEC, Chiefs, Nomadic and local cattle headers, Food crop farmers and Assembly members to discuss and find solution to problems between cattle headers and crop farmers. Deliberation went on as the team from REGSEC engaged various stakeholders present in a dialogue to make their grievances known and appropriate measures to be taken to curb this disturbance between the cattle herdsmen and food crop farmers within the district. Some suggestions like allowing the cattle’s to feed along the river banks and growing of good grasses for the cattle’s consumption were put across and this will help promotes peace within communities as cattle’s will not be disturbing their farms again.
